I wonder if Travis Alexander's parents are alive and they had any say in whether or not the State sought the death penalty in this case or it was just the State. I'd say if any case deserves the ultimate penalty, this type of slaughter does, especially with so much evidence for premeditation. And plenty of times during that killing she could have stopped but she kept at it, stabbing, slashing and shooting. People get charged with the death penalty for a single gunshot or stab wound every day so I imagine the State felt they could not excuse little Miss Jodi Arias from it and plead her out - they almost had to go for broke. And after the costs of this trial, AZ does have a dent in its bank account.
