Thank you for the help & suggestions. I ended up picking a little girl with traditional colors. I had my eye on her before I posted here & hoped maybe this would be a last ditch effort to find the golden boy, but decided I don't have the time & resources to devote to finding him. I fell in love with her sweet little face and would rather bond with her than trying to see what else is out there. Maybe in a year or so we'll be ready for another dog, in the meantime, I'm totally stoked about my decision.
She's flying in from Texas on Tuesday so I'll post pix of her when she's finally in my arms. I appreciate the advice and encouragement I've gotten. I know my "dream dog" will be found one day, but I think my little girl is pretty dreamy too
