welcome to YT and congrats on your new baby. I would like to suggest an ex pen so that when you can't watch your new baby at least it can be safe.
I like you had another dog when I got Pixie and that is what I did. I also did not let them intermingle for a few weeks and never without watching.
In the beginning I only let Daisy sniff Pixie through the ex pen bc she was adjusting to her new environment too. It didn't take long before they were the best of pals.
