We used a can of evaporated milk on a dog years ago who got just a tiny bit too close to "Pepe la Pew". We worked the cream into the coat, (while outside) left the dog to run around and get almost dry, and in the meantime, we heated water and put in a plastic storage tub, then shampooed the dog. It worked to get out the stinky Pepe perfume. I got that idea from watching my grandmother do it on our Boston when I was a tiny girl.
