After doing more research I don't think it could be giardia... she does not go outside very often, and has only been in our yard which is fenced and only has poop from the our other two dogs. I went out to look at the whole yard and there is no bloody diarrhea from the other dogs. They are fine. Layla hasn't been around any other animals at all, or been in contact with any other animal feces, so I don't think she could have been in contact with giardia.
I bet it's colitis. I guess we'll find out when we get the test results back, which should be soon!
