 Night time potty training
I have an 8 week old puppy. Last night was his first night in the crate in our room. I wasn't sure how often to leave him in their until I needed to take him out to potty. I've read so much about pottying at night and there are tons of suggestions. But I decided to let him tell me. He went 5 hours and then started to whine so I took him out to his puppy pad and he went pee within 30 seconds of being out. And I checked his crate and it was dry. So then I put him back in and he went 4 hours then until he started to whine again. He peed again within about a minute. And again his crate was dry. Is it ok to let him wake me up or do I have to set an alarm for every 2 or 3 hours and wake him up to see if he'll go potty? Thanks for any suggestions. |
