I agree -- that lady was ignorant and rude.
Your dog is a purebreed yorkie. It has a lighter coat -- silver and blonde. It's a lighter variation of the blue and gold or black and gold. Also, the pattern of the coat is typical yorkie (it has a saddle -- a silver one).
