I actually bought K9 Advantix II for the first time and applied it to Toki yesterday afternoon...no side effects whatsoever which I was glad to see since that was our first time using a topical medication for fleas.
Maybe your pup is just sensitive to a certain ingredient or the application on the skin or something. Years ago, my parents' beagle had a reaction to a topical flea/tick treatment (gosh...I wish I could remember which brand) that was different from the one they normally used...it made her itch like crazy and pant so they switched her back to her original one and had no issues like that again.
I hope you can find some treatment that your pup won't have a reaction to... I know it is scary to see them react like that. |
