Welcome to YT and your cruz is adorable! My Pixie came home at 8 weeks and I use to give her nutrical after she played. I did not let Pixie around other dogs, and I didn't let other people handle her, especially children, or take her outside until she had all her shots. I also did not take her in public places.
We used pee pads until she was about 8 months old. I still keep a pee pad down for when we leave and she will use it from time to time.
