Just because someone's name isn't on the list, it doesn't mean that they are a decent breeder. Get to understand what traits make a reputable breeder and you will be able to tell after only a few minutes of talking with someone, if they are indeed reputable. Of course, you should always visit their home, and check on the conditions of the breeding dogs. A breeder who says that her breeding dog sleeps in her bed is no better than a breeder who keeps the breeding dogs in an outdoor kennel that has no heat or cooling properties.
