X-pens are good ideas but I really think it is best to get one with a top on it since these pups can climb like cats! The bathroom is another good idea as long as you puppy proof the room and use a good secure pet gate. The gates used for kids can easily be scaled by a determined puppy. Falling over the other side could cause injury. A good pet gate can't be scaled and is good because the pup doesn't feel locked away from the rest of the house. One that opens like a door is really nice so you can easily access the room without having to do the step over thing all the time.
Music or a radio or TV is also a good idea. I hope all goes well with you and your new baby. Would love to see pictures when it arrives. |
