Yes I read that she was @ the vet, but was a skin scrape done w/a cytology to confirm that it was yeast? They look under the microscope & they can determine if it's bacterial or yeast or both & treat accordingly. Skin Cytology doesn't cost much, maybe around $30(?).
Princess has yeast & she had to be bathed in special shampoo that vet prescribed. I also had to clean out her ears, she had bad brown gunk coming out of them, she was very itchy all over too. I also had to eliminate 'sugary' foods from her diet like you are doing now.

She's doing much better now.
