Hi. For dry food, I keep it until the next day with no problem. For wet food, you could refrigerate the bowl with plastic wrap over it for one night, and then put it out in the morning, making sure the puppy eats it before giving more, AND washing out the food bowl thoroughly so you don't have any carry over--you don't want bacteria growing in it and carrying over in the food from day to day. It would be better though if you could feed the dog only what it will eat during the day and throw away what little remains at the end of the day and wash the bowl thoroughly each night. In time, you will know how much to put out.
