Hi, are you suggesting that I wait to have her both spayed and baby teeth extracted, or have her spayed at 5 months and wait a few months to have her remaining baby teeth extracted later (if necessary)? My vet said that Yorkies have their first heat at around 6 months and to have her spayed before then, but I've read other people on this site say that Yorkies have their first heat around 10 months. The vet wanted spaying and tooth extraction done at the same time to save money and wear and tear on the Yorkie.
PS -- I'm sorry to hijack this thread, but I figure the answers would also be helpful to the person whose Yorkie hadn't lost any baby teeth at 22 weeks.
