Wow! How wonderful to have this happen like this. When I got Tibbe, I finally called my Jilly's breeder, though she had been gone almost 5 years at that point. But I talk to her at least once every year or two and have since the '80's when I first saw one of her dogs at a person's home and fell in love with her "look". All of her dogs favor each other. She got me through losing my Jilly and was always there to talk to and understand. But after looking seriously at rescues and shelters in 3 cities for over a year and never being able to find a small Yorkie that wasn't already taken or just taken, etc., plus other dogs I'd wanted that they wouldn't let me have due to severe aggression or one thing or another, I gave up and called Jilly's breeder and she had my Tibbe. It could work that way for you. You just never know.
