I wish to take him to the dog park sometime, should I wait until all his shots are given? |
Bella's hair is beginning to change at 12 weeks (silver hairs are beginning to come in on her head), but it looks like it will be a long process--someone described it as the slow unveiling of a unique work of art. Yorkies reach their adult size at 18 months, if the growth charts are to be believed. My vet said not to take Bella to the groomer or dog parks until after her first rabies vaccination at 16 weeks, but I believe you need to wait two or three weeks after the rabies vaccination for it to give full immunity. And make sure you get all the other shots the vet recommends (bordetella, leptospirosis, distemper/parvo, etc.).
