No, Gracie is not yappy. She does not bark when someone comes to the door or if she hears noises. She does tend to tell me if she needs something. Like if I am late feeding her or if the cat is laying on one of her favorite toys. When she gets into one of her super terrier modes as she plays and "attacks" her toys she will get barking. I just let her get it out of her system for a while. If it goes on too long I tell her "enough!" and she stops. Oh, when her and the cat get playing she gets excited and barks but it is the same thing, if I tell her to stop she listens.
The only animal she has ever barked and growled at in a serious way was when a black bear was raiding the bird feeder outside my bedroom window. She was serous about that but she was doing what she should have done so I can't fault her on that. |
