Huey does this, accomp by his happy dance, whenever I am late coming home from work. Usually, I just get the quiet happy dance if I am on time.
Just sitting around the house, he is fairly quiet, unless someone drives slowly past HIS house, or a bird or squirrel has the audacity to get on HIS deck, or he sees a cat or rabbit in the yard, or a doorbell rings-real or TV.
In the car, he is an angel, unless we are at a drive thru window or he sees someone in another car looking at him; then his presence is announced to the world.
In stores, not a peep,Thank goodness!
So, he only barks if he has a reason (kinda), and we are still working on the stop command, but he is getting better. When outside on the deck, if he starts barking, he responds quickly to "get your a** back in this house and be quiet". (That would be his daddy training him, but it works for me, too
)
