Hi,
I got mine a small dog/cat carrier at Petsmart. The size should be large enough for the dog to comfortably lay down in, but not much larger or it will potty inside the crate. Petsmart also sells dog crates with an adjustable divider so you can make the living area larger as the dog grows, but mine is doing great inside the regular pet carrier. Be sure to line the carrier's bottom with a soft towel or blanket and keep a favorite toy inside to comfort the dog. I keep my carrier beside my bed on my nightstand so when she needs to potty in the middle of the night, I can hear her whines/barks and take her out to potty. At 8 weeks, my Bella only had to potty once in the middle of the night. Be sure to remove access to food and water at least one hour before bedtime. |
