I have met a couple of the tinies and wondered too if they are a recognized breed. They are adorable.

I googled and found that AKC schnauzers are Miniature, Standard, and Giant. The miniature breed club page says they are 12 - 14" in height and and 11 - 20 pounds.
Looks like the toy size are not standard.
