I've tried feeding this brand of food & have purchased a few bags of the "nibblets"...I think that's what they're called. They're the smaller, bite sized version of the medallions. Personally, the bags I purchased looked okay. I think a lot of it has to do with the store you buy them from. If your pup does well on it & if you really want to continue using the food, maybe you can look for a store that has a lot of traffic. That way, you're assured of a product that's more fresh & handled in a better way. And I wouldn't be shy about voicing my concerns to the store manager. It is FOOD, after all. I know that Petco carries that food in my area. Nevertheless, I would definitely ask for a refund from PedMeds & the local store you purchased the freezer burnt product from.
And just so you know, the reason I didn't end up feeding this food wasn't because I had a problem with the product. My pups are finicky & they wouldn't eat it. Raw, freeze-dried food is also another, more convenient, alternative if you'd like to change products, but continue feeding raw. Stella & Chewy's & Primal make a good, freeze-dried raw.
Good luck!
