Well he called back and instead of buying more medicine, he said that since her symptoms have resolved she could go another two days on the 2 x .8mls daily and then 2 x .4 mls daily until the remainder is gone.
He also said that if she's eating her dry food moistened, then a dental exam and cleaning could wait till her vet returns.
We did try to wean her down about a week and a half ago and since she'd only been on it for two weeks, I thought she might have a rash coming back when her belly pinked up. Her vet did not see her to confirm as he was already on vacation.
She's now been on the drug for 26 days and four of those at the .4 mls total. If we keep up the high dose it will be 28 days total and then about 4 or more days at the lower dose. Should that be enough to have cleared her up?
