I have not heard of it either. How old is this pup, and have the symptoms been diagnosed by a vet, and have they been consistent through out it's life?
I'd be a little worried that it is something other than hypoglycemia, as there are other illnesses that might present with similar symptoms. Only a vet would know for sure.
