Default Hip Dysplasia bilateral

Hello everyone!

My 7 month old Yorkie "Lola" was just diagnosed with severe bilateral hip dysplasia and has to have two surgeries to fix it . At first, before x-rays were taken, they thought it might have been perthes disease, but x-rays confirmed it to be dysplasia. Wondering if anyone can give me some insight as to recovery, etc. I am so worried about her. They want to do the surgery right away since it is so severe. I just can't believe that this has happened to her. I thought that breeding was suppose to stop with this condition???? I had her fixed at the same time they put her under for the x-rays. Any input is greatly appreciated.
