Just finished the last in the fantastic series given by Dr.Greer on Managing Your Breeding Program. It was covering "Taking Care of Your Puppies" and it was wonderful. I am wishing alot of people that find themselves with pregnant dogs, then have a litter of puppies to care for, could have been in attendance....you could have learned a ton of information on new born babies and how to properly care for them formulas, tube feeding and why it should NOT be avoided, why feeding with eyedroppers on new borns, who have NO gag reflex, can lead to aspiration pneumonia and is NOT recommended, why this new method of feeding with a sponge is not recommended, worming pups from 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks will substanially improve the health of your babies by making them worm free. It was a super series and I wish anyone that finds themselves with a litter of puppies and have no idea what they should be doing, could have participated. For we experienced breeders, it validated why we do the things we do, cuaght us up on better ways to do it, and gave some really great tips on how to do some things differently and more effectively. There will be tapes offered for purchase...when the details come out about how to do that, maybe one of us can post the link....if the tapes are available to everyone and not just attendees to the webinar.
