The entire reason it is suggested that paying $1500 (an upwards) is worth it is because of the costs that reputable breeders put into their babies...including health testing. Your baby needs to be tested for genetically passed on ailments.

Also, if the breeder is willing to give breeding rights, then that sounds fishy to me. Please don't breed if you don't have experience in it. I would say that about any breed, but especially toy breeds. Just too many bad things can go wrong - even with well experienced and educated breeders.

I don't know...to me, that is good money for a good, reputable breeder kind of price. If I was going to pay $1500, I would find a breeder that was YTCA recommended.

I am just saying, without spending money on this pup, what expenses has the breeder incurred to charge $1500? Every reputable breeder I know doesn't even make money most times and they charge that or more. Why? Because they are spending that or more on the pup's necessary care and testing...JMHO
