If it keeps up, better go to the ER and at least get some cervical x-rays. With that pain in your neck at times and the numbness, it sure sounds suspicious for a neck strain/sprain or degenerative arthritic changes. Could always be neuro from your head but from the sound of it, it is related to your neck. I'd want the ER to check out neck x-rays long before they ever charged me for an expensive CT scan of the brain. I mean, yeah, if you had ins. get both but if I'm paying this visit out, I'd just want some x-rays and a cervical examination to R/O neck problems before they started in on neuro stuff. That all gets really expensive. Course it's cheap if that's what you need but you want to be certain you need it B4 they chalk up those charges. Sure hope you feel better soon.
