Hi guys! Sorry this is late getting back to you, but I wanted to give an update anyway. Eleanor's vet trip was great!
Of all the things it could have been it turned out to be very minor. Our vet says that her ligaments and muscles are just weak in her leg and that she will grow out of it. He put a splint on her leg to encourage her to hold it properly and strengthen the muscles instead of letting it bend improperly. She has to wear the splint for 3 weeks. My youngest sister assures me that the splint isn't slowing her down in the slightest. LOL Keeping up with a ten year old is apparently no problem for Eleanor even with her new hardware.
He said her condition was very rare. He's only seen it 3 times in the 15 years he's been practicing, but that it has never been a problem later in life.
Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers! It means so much to have so many kind people to talk to. Having a soundign board for all things yorkie big or small is the greatest!
