One thing w/groomers that work for someone, they don't have 2+ hrs to take tangles off a puppy. It's just not done. Why work on 1 pup when in those 2 hrs, you can get 3-4 pets done, esp if you're a paid employee. You might have more luck w/an independent groomer that has her own shop (preferably not on the weekends bc that's the busiest time). It will cost more to have your pup dematted, but might not need to be shaved. When I was working for Aussie as a mobile groomer, I had approx 15-20mins to drive to the customer & 20-30mins to groom them, then onto my next customer the other side of LA...no time for dematting (unless it was requested ahead of time, even then, my boss only gave me an x-tra 30 mins loll).
