I started my puppy out just brushing a little bit every night and kept at it. Don't give up and be patient. Try to do it when you are watching TV or find another time when you are relaxed.

I also did this getting her used to the clippers. At first I didn't have a clippers so I used my Sonic toothbrush (not the brush part, only the handle) and kept running over her body and head until she got used to the sound and vibration. Eventually I found a small, cheap Wahl clippers and did the same thing to her. Now she usually doesn't flinch at the groomers and is more relaxed.

Just be consistent and keep brushing. I know trying to brush a squirming puppy is hard but keep in mind it's for the puppy's own good.

I know you can do it.
