I got Jack when he was young too and I believe he was taken away from his mom too young. He was similar with being anti-social, except for me and my husband (he loves us), but we did get Izzy and he has really come out of his shell. He has grown so much more as a dog. If everything is fine with him physically, you may seriously want to consider another pup as a playmate for him and to help teach him how to be social and interact with others (including humans).
