I dog sit a yorkie that is also 5 year old, 8 - 9 lb yorkie. I usually walk him three times a day... 10 minutes each. But then a couple times a week.. he walks 30 minutes once, 10 minutes twice a day...
I think you usually can tell if the dog is tired!! They might stop walking or... you can just tell...
