Thats strange, I have never heard of that before. I do know that Yorkie in general get lighter with age. Two of mine who are almost 11 & 8 have lost some of that rich golden/dark black colors and have gotten much lighter than they were just two years ago.

I too wonder if this pup is full blooded and why isn't she registered. Which means she has sold two litters of unregistered pup.
As much as this pup needs someone in her life to love and care about her, because she clearly is not in a good situation at her present home. Unless you can get her for a fraction of the price, if it were me I would walk away. There is so much that you dont know about her. It seems as if the breeder is just trying to recoupe some of her cost and doesn't really care about the dog. If she did she wouldn't ask such a ridiculous amount of money for her. You would think that she would appreciate the fact that you are interested in providing her with a loving home even if that ment taking a loss.
