It makes you feel so very guilty....and you go through all the could have and should have...but it takes just a second and an accident can happen.
I was a nerves wreck every time one of my Yorkies went outside
So I looked high and low on how I can prevent something like that again and I found a product called Skamper-Ramp - Super Skamper-Ramp - Dog Ramp - Dog Pool Steps
It has made me relax more and not freak out when my babies are outside and they run and chase each other around the Pool. Hopefully this will help and prevent anyone from loosing there baby to drowning. | I am very sorry for your loss of your pup. Thank you for sharing this warning and the product info. Quote:

Thankfully, Jackson is extremely savvy in the water (a total water fool!) and he knows exactly where to go to get out, because he swims all summer long. But I know our JRT mix has fallen in a few times while running around and she has very short legs, and panics. Instead of going towards the steps, she freaks and tries to get out the sides. We're always out there with them so we just go help guide her out but it would be very scary if it happened while she was alone! |
