I am so sorry what happened to you. Getting out of a pool is absolutely an issue, especially for a small dog...larger dogs can walk out with some kinds of pool steps. I had a Shep/Lab mix years ago who climbed and squeezed herself through a small gap to get into an above ground swimming pool that was completely fenced all the way around and padlocked...and she did this while I was at work. She had the good sense to hang onto the ladder and rest, and she learned to climb the ladder, too, but it is scary to come home to find your dog swimming in a pool you didn't think she could get into...and after that, she couldn't any more because we blocked that tiny space.

This is a sweet product...but one I'd want to train my dog to so they'd know where to swim to, especially in a large pool so they could get out using the ramp.

Thank you for posting this.
