When I got my Yorkie the breeder told me that he would be probably around 5 to 6 pounds but no guarantees. Well, I think he might pass that weight. I also thought I wanted a "tiny" Yorkie but have since gotten over that feeling. I have read and heard so much about the increase chances for medical issues. I have children and another dog and honestly my stout little boy is just perfect for us. I love him with all my heart and it doesn't matter to me how much he ends up weighing in the end. Hopefully you will bond with your little baby and won't be able to consider life with anyone else. Good luck!!!!
