Awwww...

I have dogs and cats who like jalapenos...as do I...and I don't seed them either. Sometimes my food gets too spicy or 'ill-flavored' for my kids' tastes, but I have seen them eat stuff I would never have offered if they hadn't been so insistent on trying a bite.

Spicy peppers get such a 'bad rap' but truth be told, it isn't the chili pepper that gives the 'flaming exit'...seriously. Chili peppers are great at detoxing and it is the toxins that 'fire' that particular 'rocket' as my DH found. After he was detox'd by the jalapenos, he needed warmer pants. Now, heat in the mouth is another issue entirely, and one DH has NOT conquered , but like Yorkiemom1 said:

"I dont know if dog tongues have the same heat sensors on them that ours do! ...I dont know if they can taste "hot"!"

...at least not like we do.
