Uoops, let me cover one more point...
When doing Potty Training, I use layers of Newspaper. And when removing it after a contamination, I never remove it all. Just the top sheets, where it will leave a concentrated scent available for future reference.
But, when evidence is found in the wrong area, a thorough cleaning and descenting of the location should be done.
