I'm glad the nurse checked FHT and wrapped the ankle and I'm glad the ultrasound was fine. If you aren't staying off of it, it will take forever to get better. You probably already know the purple in the sole of your foot is just where gravity pulled the blood from the original bruising. If you are still having problems in another few days, I would recommend seeing an orthopedist to check if tendons are torn. I'm sure any diagnostic MRI will have to wait until after "the blessed event", though.
