I would be leery of anyone claiming to directly communicate with animals, but I agree that some folks are
really intuitive, like that Jackson Galaxy guy who does the show on animal planet "my cat from hell". I would have never thought that anyone was capable of knowing what makes a cat tick and having the ability to change cat behaviors, but I now believe otherwise.
(The title of this thread intrigued me because I visualized a communicator or tricorder from star trek translating what the dog said
