kimp5 i have found that giving the girls responsibility with the dog has really helped at home. He hasn't snapped at them in a while and doesn't bark as much when they are upset. I also make him sit and stay when he is barking. I do this on our walks as well when we pass a dog or a person. Hopefully, this will help with the behavior, but am welcome to any other suggestions.
