There are several reasons why a dog will act like this . It could be he has some physical problems. There is also the issue of socialization of the pups when they are first born. If a breeder does not handle the pups for the first several weeks of life or if the pups have very little human contact they many times are very uncomfortable with human touch. I have worked with younger dogs that have had this problem. It takes a lot of work in having them become trusting and acclimated with human scent and touch.
Having him closely checked out by a vet would be the first thing I would do. If you are able to get in contact with a certified animal behaviorist it could be very helpful to you and your little guy. |
