I would suggest (before taking a long trip) asking all your local Vets. if they know of anyone who raises Yorkies, or may have one for sale. Then check your shelters. They all have a book with pictures of different dogs needing homes. The small ones are generally in foster homes instead of a drafty old shelter. Then check on line to see if there is a Yorkie rescue or small dog rescue near you. Good luck in your search.
