I did this before too, it was cheaper than buying it at Joanne's! If you need them in bulk, I get them here.
D Rings, nickle plate, 8 sizes, 2 styles, Welded or Cast Only 16 cents apiece if you buy 25, also they have some smaller than the ones you can find at Joannes.
