The sweaters are a little tougher to size actually. I usually change yarns to try to make them either larger than the pattern measurement or smaller. I usually ask for the pups measurement and try to go from there. Teehee I also use Wallee for any mediums I make as he is 15.5 inches around and the same length. Jacqui has two small sweethearts who have modeled the small ones for me. Her Jersey modeled the burgundy hoodie but it was pretty roomy on her and did fit Wallee quite well. Her Raelle was wearing the little pink one and she only weighs 6 lbs. I probably didn't really answer the question but like I said I just go by what the pattern uses for pretty standard small medium large sizing and adjust yarn and needles.
