If I let Huey air dry, he has a fairly wavy coat. I always blow dry and comb it straight during the drying. It stays straight until his next bath, but he is long and sometimes the lower third of his coat will either turn under a bit or flip outwards. I think it is like people hair...the way you lay on it affects the style, especially if you only washed your hair once a week.
I use a good conditioner, but it takes a day after the bath for it to settle and lose the fuzziness. A spray on, leave in conditioner might help your pups coat to lay flatter. I use infusium when Huey is particularly fuzzy.
