TBH I never really had a problem with Jasper sleeping in my bed at the time. My boyfriend wasn't officially moved in. And I planned for him to sleep next to me. I felt sorry for him the first night when he cried, cause I knew he missed his brother and sister,& mum and dad. So I let him. Even though he couldn't jump up himself, he did keep trying and I just let him everynight since then. We don't mind it. He sleeps by your feet right in the middle. He's not very independent.

I think it's great she understands private space, social space, and public space.

She has probably learned not to disrupt your private space, and she is showing you respect. My other dog cora who lives with my mum, actually has her own room. She is three now, and she is a very balanced happy dog. She likes her own room because she stores her bones etc in it.

It doesn't mean Mia loves you any less!

You are just pack leader; and pack leader gets the bed!
