Some people say, when a dog is older than 5, it may be riskier. My mum made the choice to spay Cora, last year. She's three. And I honestly felt so bad for her. I blame the vet though. They never cleaned her up. She had dried blood on her. And we had to clean it ourselves, after the anesthetic wore off. She could barely lie down. If I was to ever adopt another girl I'd find it really hard to do it.

On the other hand, so many people I know have said their girls are great within a few days, mind wise, and back to normal exercise by three weeks. Just wished Cora had the same experience. I can still see the scar, and her tummy looks weird now. She still grunts when she you touch her belly. It just doesn't sit right with me. I tried to convince my mum to take her to the vet again, but she thinks it's pointless. Plus Cora lives with mum, Jasper lives with me. So I don't have as big a say.
