I wouldn't use a q-tip around the eyes, poking hazard! If the eye boogers are really caked on there (it's been couple of days from last bath or cleaning) I would place him on the bathroom vanity, wrap a towel around his neck & while holding him w/one hand, wash his face as you would a child. If he moves his face too much, hold his head gently & wash w/the other hand. The eye gunk comes off easily w/just a little warm water, so he won't get totally wet. I just get my finger wet & apply the water to the corner of their eyes.
I wipe their eyes everyday w/ a baby terry cloth, sometimes 2 times a day if it's watery for some reason, allergies or hair in their eyes. |
