ZoE does like to cuddle, but she does it when she wants to, not necessarily when I want her to. But, I wouldn't ever describe her as a "velcro dog", as she's fairly confident & independent. Personality wise, she reminds me alot of my daughter. I've often wondered if I raised them both that way (nurture) or whether they just both happened to be that way (nature). |
Interesting point. It could well be down to your parenting skills. Which obviously works like a charm, by the sounds of things

I think that's the best way to be. Dogs need to enjoy their own 'quiet time'. I regret not using a crate now.
I think I was a bit too worried about Jasper. He's one now, but from the moment I took him home, he was taken anywhere I went. My sister would even be shocked if I left for a walk alone, like around the corner. She demanded I give her the keys to my flat. When she seen me out at the local newsagent. I was like ummm....
I noticed how close his litter was as well. When i visited a number of times before I got him. They sleep, they play, they feed, they sleep etc. But always together. Feeding of their energy. Jasper has deff got that pack mentality still. I wasn't even gonna let him sleep in my bed, but I said 'oh it's only the first night, he's away from his mother'.... but now he sleeps in the middle of me and my boyfriend at our feet. Without fail.
